It's a challenge for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have long been mastered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The secondary achievements, the ones sought by the peak baggers, are all that remain for a team that has achieved everything.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to achieve their initial ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to possess a record if never given the possibility.

In the end, the outcome of Australia conceding 330 was skipper Alyssa Healy receiving a platform to deliver her most recent brilliance.

Originally famous as the 19-year-old niece of famous ex Aussie wicketkeeper Ian, she made her debut in 2010 after Australia failed to win either of the T20 or ODI World Cups from the prior year and has experienced everything through 15 successful years since.

Success in the T20 World Cup happened three months after her bow and seven global championships have followed from 10 tries across formats.

The tough gloveman was present as well in Derby in 2017 when a last-four loss by India briefly halted the run of success.

That loss "motivated us to reevaluate our levels," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the championship match and was declared player of the series. She guaranteed her country would not come up short.

If this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display can be debated.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind championship match pressure. Different voices suggest with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was far harder to predict.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 happened while she led the batting statistics, but this innings followed six innings in India since the start of last month in which she had failed to pass 30.

"For those following me in training, it has been a disappointing period because it seemed I lacked timing at all," commented Healy.

"Yet the moment you step out on the field, your fighting spirit activate and you simply focus on the competition."

Healy's competitiveness has consistently been her key asset - and an irreplaceable characteristic in taking over from famous previous leader Meg Lanning.

She was challenged by India's promising player Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in each encounter, but this time it merely gave Healy's spark.

A single was taken off the opening delivery and from that point the batsman was underway.

"An opportunity to take the field and lock in a contest with her and simply enjoy myself in that aspect, somewhat inspired me," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at a World Cup - and her century in 84 deliveries while she punished short deliveries, scoring 21 fours and three big hits.

When she was removed the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"To chase 330 is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to accomplish that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it again but, if necessary, we know we can do it."

That comment will be the last competing nations at this tournament need to hear.

In recent days a sense they will win from any position has become more firm - this success following victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Following this Australia face Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in 10 days, by which point a semi-final berth may well be secure.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - an encounter Healy was absent due to torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the initial instance at a major tournament.
